NBYG København: a website that brought in 300+ enquiries in a year

A Danish construction firm came to us for a new website. The brief wasn't just to "make it look good" — it was to build a site that wins new customers through Google. The build cost a fixed $4,000. After launch the client stayed on for ongoing SEO, and in the first year the site brought in 300+ enquiries. For construction in Denmark that's a strong result: these jobs are high-value, so a single solid enquiry can be worth a great deal to the business.

What this means for business

These numbers are about more than traffic. They show the site doing its main job: bringing potential customers to the business. People found the company on Google, visited the site, looked over the services and got in touch. The site stopped being an online brochure and became a real channel for winning customers.

How the site began to grow on Google

Over the past 6 months the site recorded 1,100 Google conversions, up from 677 in the 6 months before. In short, once the new site launched and SEO kicked in, far more people found the company through Google. The site also showed up in search 302,000 times across those 6 months, so more people looking for construction services saw it. More visibility on Google means more visitors, and more visitors means more chances of an enquiry.

/ 02 PROBLEM

What was before our work

Before the rebuild, the site wasn't pulling its weight. The company had the services, the experience and the completed projects, but the old site didn't do enough to sell them.

  • The site read more like a brochure than a tool for generating enquiries
  • It wasn't clear at a glance what the company actually does
  • The services weren't presented clearly enough
  • The site was poorly set up for Google
  • It was harder than it should be to reach the contact details
  • Updating content on the site was awkward for the client
  • No proper split between the two locations (Copenhagen vs Bornholm)
  • Admin on mobile was unusable

What we did

We built a site that helps the company win enquiries from search. The work included:

  • New site design
  • Clear structure for construction services
  • Separate pages for the different areas of work
  • Copy and structure that perform better on Google
  • Clear contact buttons
  • Enquiry forms
  • Mobile-responsive design
  • Fast page loads
  • An easy admin so the client can edit content themselves;
  • Ongoing SEO after launch

What people did on the site

Analytics showed people weren't just visiting — they were taking the kind of actions that lead to an enquiry. Over 360 days the site logged what users did, and the pattern is clear: visitors arrived and went looking for a way to contact the company.

  • 166 clicks on "Contact us"
  • 104 clicks on external links
  • 50 form submissions
  • 14 clicks on the "Kontakt os" button

Result for the client

After the site launched and SEO got going, the client was seeing 300+ enquiries a year. For a Danish construction firm that's especially valuable, since a single won project can be worth far more than the whole build. At a fixed $4,000, the site wasn't just a design cost for the client — it became a tool that brings in new business. The result didn't come from a "nice website" on its own. The site started working because we:

  • Made a clear structure
  • Presented the services properly
  • Set the site up for Google
  • Added an easy way to get in touch
  • Made the site easy to use on mobile
  • Kept SEO going after launch

«Thank you for your work on the site:) the site turned out very stylish, cool, fast, just like I thought it should be) And most importantly, everything took as long as we agreed. Working with you is comfortable and pleasant.»
