Why "a medical website" is three different jobs
A solo dentist, a 10-practitioner clinic and a hospital with departments all ask for "a website" — but mean three different tools. A practice needs to be found and booked. A clinic needs to route patients across services and practitioners. A hospital needs to carry departmental structure, schedules and load. Buy the wrong format and you either overpay for the unused — or hit the ceiling in six months.
A solo practice: a landing page from £800
One practitioner, a few services, one patient flow. A landing page is enough: who you are, what you treat, prices, reviews, a booking form. No CMS or directory — there's nothing to fill them with. It's the fastest start: 1–2 weeks and you can be found and booked. When a second practitioner and a dozen services arrive, you grow into a full site without a rebuild.
A clinic: a full website from £3,500
Several practitioners, dozens of services, two or three arms. A system works here: a page per service (your SEO entry points), a practitioner directory with schedules, online booking integrated with your practice system, a CMS-managed price list. The extended format from £6,500 adds a blog, insurance integration and a clinic CRM.

A hospital or group: from £12,000
A multi-location structure: each site has its own practitioners, schedules and phones under one brand and standard. Add complex integrations (EPR, labs), multilingual support and an SLA. This isn't "a website" anymore — it's infrastructure, and it's designed accordingly, starting with an architectural session.
| Format | For whom | What's inside | Price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | solo practice, 1 practitioner | services, prices, reviews, booking form | from £800 | 1–2 weeks |
| Full website | clinic, 3–15 practitioners | service pages, practitioner directory, online booking, CMS | from £3,500 | 4 weeks |
| Extended | a clinic doing marketing | + blog, insurance integration, clinic CRM | from £6,500 | 6 weeks |
| Group / hospital | multiple sites, departments | multi-location, EPR integrations, multilingual, SLA | from £12,000 | 8–10 weeks |
How to pick the right format
- Choose for today's patient flow, not the dream — the architecture grows with you
- Torn between a landing page and a site? Start with the landing page and keep the budget difference
- Two or more locations? Multi-location structure from day one — retrofitting costs more
- The only thing worth buying "for growth" is fast code and clean architecture
